Key advantages of our seedlings
Cold hardiness and climate adaptability
Our kiwi seedlings are adapted to harsh climate conditions and can withstand temperatures as low as –31°F (–35°C). This makes them well-suited for growing in regions with cold winters.
Fast fruiting
Kiwi seedlings grown from cuttings begin to bear fruit as early as the year after planting, allowing you to enjoy a quick harvest of fresh, delicious fruit.
Environmental purity
All our seedlings are grown without the use of chemical fertilizers or growth stimulants. This makes them safe for the environment and ensures the fruits are beneficial for your health.
Suitable for growing both in the garden and at home.
Our seedlings can be grown both outdoors in your garden or country house, and indoors - in pots or containers on a balcony since they don’t require much space.
Self-fertile varieties
We offer self-fertile kiwi varieties that do not require male and female plants for pollination. This greatly simplifies plant care and ensures reliable fruit production.
Support and Consultation
Every customer receives expert support at every stage of cultivation — from planting to harvest. This helps minimize risks and achieve a high-quality result.

Planting Kiwi Seedlings

Harvesting your own kiwi crop in your garden is easy when you provide the plant with simple care.

The plant prefers sunny, open areas for growth. It is important to provide support for the plant, such as special trellises, fences, pergolas, or other structures capable of bearing the weight of the vine and its harvest. Kiwi plants thrive in well-drained, light, and slightly acidic soils. Clay soils should be amended with a sandy mix and fertile earth before planting.

Kiwi watering: The plant grows well in moderately moist soils. Its root system is shallow, so regular watering is essential. Drying out of the topsoil layer is unacceptable. To prevent the surface feeder roots from drying out, it is recommended to mulch the soil around the plant.

Pruning: Kiwi vines require regular pruning. The plants grow quickly and can become untidy. Training and shaping pruning is done similarly to grapevines. A key feature of kiwi plants is active sap flow in spring — damaged shoots tend to ooze sap, become waterlogged, and significantly weaken the plant. Therefore, kiwi pruning is best done in summer (from June) or autumn.

Winter care for kiwi: Most varieties are highly frost-resistant. However, young seedlings in the first few years are recommended to be covered with non-woven fabric or lightly hilled with soil. Mature plants do not require covering, but the shoots should be removed from the support and laid close to the ground for protection.

Growing kiwi in your garden is simple, and the yield from strong vines is always rewarding. The fruits are excellent not only fresh but also used for making emerald-colored jams and drying. Kiwi desserts are always vibrant, refreshing, and very healthy.

Questions and Answers
When is the best time to plant kiwi in open ground?
Kiwi seedlings can be planted in the garden either in spring, before the start of the growing season, or in autumn, after it ends. Plants with a closed root system can be planted throughout the entire season.
How to care for kiwi in the garden?
Kiwi grows well in moderately moist soils. Its root system is shallow, so watering should be done regularly. Drying out of the topsoil is unacceptable. To prevent the fine surface roots from drying out, it is recommended to mulch the soil around the plant.
Where is the best place to plant kiwi in the garden?
The soil at the planting site should be light, moderately fertile, and well-drained. If you have dense loam, add sand and peat. Kiwi does not grow well in very heavy soils — cultivated sandy loam will work best.
Where should kiwi be planted – in shade or in the sun?
The plant prefers sun or partial shade.
When should kiwi be pruned?
Pruning and shaping of the kiwi plants are done in late autumn after the fruiting period is over. The strongest, healthiest shoots are left, while all others are removed.
What grows well next to kiwi?
Planting companion plants around kiwi is beneficial for more vigorous growth and higher yields. Some ideal companions for kiwi include grapefruit, blueberry, grapevine, raspberry, currant, marjoram, catnip, lemon balm, lavender, geranium, clematis, and ajuga.
What kind of support is best suited for kiwi?
Hardy kiwi vines grow quickly, so build a support system before or soon after planting. They can be constructed similarly to grape trellises, but they need to be stronger.
